About the Event
Join Sheana for a deep journey into the body, heart and mind for a relaxing and insightful experience. Come discover insights into sober living as prescribed in the ancient philosophies of Yoga, Buddhism and Western Psychology.

I'm partnering with the Phoenix, a community for people in recovery and the sober curious to offer this class for free!
Yin Yoga poses will be held for extended periods (2-6 minutes) to gently release tension from the body and relax the nervous system. Upon entering a higher vibration of consciousness, the psyche is more open to receive and 'feel' the wisdom of the teachings.
The Yin Yoga sequence is a deep somatic journey into architecture of the living tissue to shed light on 'issues living in our tissues'. Through compassionate inquiry into sensation, we get to clear emotional blockages that can propel us to resort to 'numbing' behaviors.
'Numbing behaviors' can result in excessive craving for a drink, substance, food or person. Ultimately, these 'numbing behaviors' make us reactive, keep us small and hold us back from leading the happy free lives we deserve.
When we release these unprocessed emotions on a regular basis, we are empowered to pause and witness our reactive behaviors. We are then free to make more mindful choices to take care of ourselves.
This journey starts with a single conscious breath. One day at a time. Let's do this together!
