Yin Yoga Teacher Training San Francisco | 50-Hour Certification| September 2026
There comes a moment on the path of life where doing more no longer brings us closer to ourselves.
Where striving softens…
Where the nervous system longs for stillness…
Where we begin to listen, rather than push.
This is the doorway into Yin.
Yin Yoga is not simply a style of yoga—it is a return.
A return to the body as somatic teacher.
A return to the quiet intelligence beneath the surface.
A return to your inner sanctuary.
In a world that often asks us to move faster, achieve more, and stay in constant motion, Yin invites us to slow down… to feel… and to be.

What This Training Is Really About
This 50-hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training is an experiential immersion designed to guide you through three layers of learning:
Embodiment → Understanding → Teaching
You won’t just learn about Yin Yoga.
You will feel it in your body, explore it through your own lived experience, and learn how to hold space for others with authenticity and depth.
Together, we explore Yin Yoga at the intersection of:
• Functional Anatomy & Fascia – understanding the body not as something to perfect, but as something to listen to
• Traditional Chinese Medicine & Meridian Theory – working with the subtle body, Qi, and the Five Elements
• Mindfulness, Meditation & Breathwork – cultivating presence and inner awareness
• The Art of Teaching Yin – learning how to guide, language, sequence, and hold space
This is a training that honors both science and spirit—bridging modern fascia research with ancient wisdom traditions.
The Deeper Invitation
Yin Yoga is often described as “needle-less acupuncture.”
Through long-held, passive poses, we gently stress the connective tissues and stimulate the meridian pathways—inviting the flow of Qi, releasing stagnation, and supporting emotional balance.
But beyond the physical, Yin offers something even more profound:
It teaches us how to be with ourselves.
To sit at the edge.
To soften resistance.
To stay when we would usually leave.
This is where the real practice begins.
And this is the kind of presence that transforms not only how you practice—but how you live, relate, show up in the world, and teach.
Who This Training Is For
This training is for you if you feel called to:
• Deepen your personal practice in a meaningful, embodied way
• Understand the energetic and emotional layers of the body
• Learn to teach Yin Yoga with confidence and authenticity
• Cultivate more Yin qualities in your life—stillness, receptivity, intuition
• Share a practice that is grounding, healing, and deeply needed in today’s world
Whether you are a teacher or a dedicated student, you are welcome here.
A Spacious, Thoughtful Structure
This training is intentionally designed to feel spacious and integrated (very Yin!).
Rather than overwhelming you with information, we layer the learning across three weekends:
• Weekend 1 — Embodiment: Experience Yin in your own body
• Weekend 2 — Understanding: Explore anatomy, fascia & energetics
• Weekend 3 — Teaching: Learn to guide and hold space
• Graduation Day: Integration, practice teaching, and reflection
This allows the teachings to land not just in your mind—but in your body and lived experience.

What You’ll Walk Away With
By the end of this training, you will:
• Feel confident teaching a Yin Yoga class
• Understand how to work with function over form
• Have a strong foundation in meridian theory & energetics
• Be able to guide students into safe, meaningful experiences
• Deepen your connection to your own inner landscape
And perhaps most importantly…
You will leave with a deeper relationship to yourself.
A Final Reflection
As the poet John O'Donohue writes:
“There is a place in you that has never been wounded.”
Yin Yoga helps us remember that place.
In the quiet stillness of Yin, we begin to soften the layers that have formed around us—
protective, necessary, human.
The body unwinds.
The breath deepens.
The mind begins to settle.
And beneath it all… something steady remains.
A place untouched by past experiences.
A place that is whole, unbroken, and deeply at ease.
Yin Yoga doesn’t create this place—
it simply helps us remember it.
Again and again, we return.
